Samsung scheduled the Galaxy A57 5G and Galaxy A37 5G for release in selected markets from April 10, 2026, following their March 25 announcement. The Galaxy A57’s base configuration combines 8GB of memory with 128GB of storage at a starting price of €529. The Galaxy A37 starts at €429 with 6GB of memory and 128GB of storage. These are the starting euro prices for the specified configurations, rather than a single worldwide retail price.

The Galaxy A57 uses the Exynos 1680 processor and supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 6.0. The Galaxy A37 uses the Exynos 1480. Samsung’s color choices for the A57 are Awesome Navy, Awesome Gray, Awesome Icyblue and Awesome Lilac; the A37 comes in Awesome Lavender, Awesome Charcoal, Awesome Graygreen and Awesome White.

Hardware, software and support

Both phones run Android 16 with One UI 8.5 and have 6.7-inch Full HD+ displays supporting refresh rates up to 120Hz. The A57 uses a Super AMOLED+ panel; the A37 has Super AMOLED. Samsung lists the A57 at 6.9mm thick and 179 grams, and the A37 at 7.4mm and 196 grams. Each model has a typical 5,000mAh battery and a rear camera system led by a 50-megapixel sensor. The A57 has a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera, compared with 8 megapixels on the A37; both include 5-megapixel macro and 12-megapixel front cameras.

Samsung promises up to six generations of Android and One UI upgrades and up to six years of security updates from the first global launch. Availability and timing vary by model and market. The launch specifications also set out the water-resistance test conditions:

  • Both devices carry an IP68 dust- and water-resistance rating.
  • Laboratory testing covers freshwater immersion to 1.5 metres for up to 30 minutes.
  • Samsung does not recommend beach or pool use; resistance can diminish through normal wear.

Changes from the preceding generation

The Galaxy A56 5G and A36 5G had been announced on March 2, 2025. Both already offered 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED displays with refresh rates up to 120Hz, 5,000mAh batteries and support for 45W charging. Samsung rated that pair IP67. Both also included stereo speakers. Its 2025 range also introduced a commitment to up to six generations of Android and One UI upgrades and six years of security updates.

The A56 used the Exynos 1580, while the A36 used Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 platform. Samsung’s dated predecessor specifications put the A56 at 7.4mm thick and 198 grams and the A36 at 7.4mm and 195 grams. The A57 therefore has a thinner, lighter body than the A56, while the A37 retains the A36’s stated thickness with a one-gram increase in listed weight.
